The Long View No. 37 “Why Some Leaders Grow Calmer While Others Burn Out”
I have worked with leaders facing enormous pressure.
Some grow calmer over time.
Others slowly unravel.
The difference is rarely intelligence, skill, or commitment.
The difference is whether they are accompanied.
Leaders who try to carry everything alone often confuse strength with isolation. Leaders who grow steadier over time have learned to invite presence into the weight they carry.
Not someone to take responsibility away from them.
Someone to help them see clearly while they carry it.
Calm is not the absence of pressure.
It is the presence of support.
Here is your reflection for the week:
What might change if steadiness, not stamina, became your measure of leadership health?
Some leaders grow calmer because they stop carrying alone.
With you in the work,
Kevin
