The Long View · No. 48: This is how the work usually begins

When people reach out to explore this work, they often expect a pitch.

That is not how it begins.

It begins with listening.

With telling the truth about the season you are in.

With noticing what feels heavy, unclear, or quietly persistent.

Sometimes the conversation leads to working together.

Sometimes it leads to a different next step.

Both are good outcomes.

Clarity is the goal, not commitment for its own sake.

Here is your reflection for the week:

What would you want space to say out loud if someone were listening without agenda?

That question often opens the door.

With openness,

Kevin
