The Long View No. 7 "Aligning Around What Matters Most"

Alignment brings breath back into a tired team.

Hi friend,

There is a moment I love in the work I get to do.

It’s when a team, after weeks or months of listening and naming, suddenly begins to see the same horizon.

You can feel it in the room.

Shoulders drop.

Breathing slows.

People look at one another with relief instead of pressure.

Most think alignment means unanimous agreement.

It doesn’t.

Alignment means shared direction.

Reflection prompt:

Where might alignment be needed in your life or leadership this week?

If you want to discern it with a companion, I’m here.

With steady hope,

Kevin
