About Kevin Eastway

Kevin Eastway is a strategy, fundraising, leadership, and process consultant who helps nonprofits, schools, churches, and faith-based organizations discover clarity, strengthen leadership, and build communities of generosity.
He is the founder of The Acuity Lab, a certified Advanced Process Consultant, and the author of Faithful Friendship: Fundraising from the Heart and The Path of Faithful Friendship. He is also the creator of several leadership and fundraising frameworks, including The Acuity Compass, The Four Seasons of Stewardship, The Four Chair Model, Designers, Gardeners, and Builders, and the practice of with-ness.
Kevin is also the founder of Kindred rOS, a relational operating system designed to help fundraisers move beyond transactional donor management and practice deeper, more human-centered stewardship. He is also a co-founder of The Fundraisers Collective, a community and resource hub helping nonprofit and ministry fundraisers grow in confidence, clarity, and faithful relationship-building
Kevin’s work is shaped by three deep streams: process consulting, faith-based fundraising, and relational leadership. His approach has been influenced by Edgar H. Schein’s work in Humble Inquiry and Humble Consulting, by Henri Nouwen’s classic work A Spirituality of Fundraising, and by decades of personal experience helping leaders, boards, fundraisers, pastors, and organizations move toward clarity, trust, generosity, and faithful action.
Kevin lives in Michigan, with his wife and two sons, and is available for consulting engagements worldwide.

Kevin’s consulting is rooted in a simple conviction: Organizations do not need more generic advice. They need a trusted process for discovering clarity together.
Many consultants arrive with a pre-built answer. Kevin enters with a process.
His work is shaped by the belief that durable change comes when leaders participate in discovering the truth of their own situation. This is why his consulting is both strategic and relational. Kevin does not assume the presenting problem is always the real problem. He helps leaders slow down enough to ask better questions:
What is really happening here?
What has not yet been named?
Who needs to be heard?
Where is trust strong, strained, or missing?
What clarity is needed before action will become fruitful?
This process-consulting posture is central to Kevin’s work. He helps leaders and teams resist the temptation to solve too quickly, especially when the deeper need is shared understanding, repaired trust, clarified ownership, or a more faithful way of working together.
Recognition from Dr. David P. King and Lake Institute on Faith & Giving
Kevin’s work has been recognized by leaders in faith and philanthropy, including Dr. David P. King, the Karen Lake Buttrey Director of Lake Institute on Faith & Giving at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
Dr. King noted that Kevin Eastway’s work follows in the footsteps of Henri Nouwen’s classic study, A Spirituality of Fundraising, but also “picks up where Nouwen leaves off.”
As Dr. King observed, Nouwen is clear that fundraising is the opposite of begging. Fundraising is proclaiming mission and inviting others to participate in it. Kevin’s work begins there and then explores what that relationship can look like in practice.
Drawing from decades of faith-based fundraising experience, including personal support and programmatic funding, Kevin writes honestly about how his own understanding of fundraising has grown over time. The key takeaway is simple and deeply human: Fundraising is about faithful friendship.
